Gary will you be making room for default ground vehicles, so unlike your Xtreme series the PB truck and luggage cars do not overflap with your trucks.

Hi Andy,

They shouldn't overlap in the Xtreme series. Can you post screen shots?

Hi there,
1st of all I would like to say that the software that has been produced for the fs community really has been second to none, and I cant wait to see what the future products are like.

Although i have to admit i do feel sad that the new vfr airfields are not being made fs2004 compatible, like the xteme range. This is partly because i,lke the majority of people out there still only use 2004 due to performance issues, and being a resident of Northern Ireland i think it would be a shame if some scenery wasnt made for us, as well as scotland, even if it was only to the standard of the just flight airports/uk part 1-8 series.

Regards

The VFR airfields for FSX product is no better than the current 'Part' series for FS2002 & FS2004. The VFR airfields for FSX product is a simple replacemtn of the default airports whihc blend into the Generation X Photographic scenery and old 'Part' series models converted to FSX compatable format.

I hope that clears it up for you.  Smiley

I appreciate the reply, but what i meant was that  there is the uk part series covering all of England and Wales for fs2004, and the new scenery being made for fsx, but there will be nothing available for Scotland or NI which is FS2004 compatible

Oh, I understand what you mean now. All future Xtreme airports will be FS9 compatable (like you mentioned) and Gary is covering quite a fue airports in Scotland and NI with the Xtreme series. I am not sure if Gary has plans for a future 'part series' for Scotland or NI.

Take offs are optional. Landings are mandatory.

Fantastic work guys, this will definitely be on the Christmas list though how I'll manage in the house with it sitting under the tree is anyone's guess.  VFR Airfields, DirectX 10, GenX and Flight Environment X... FSX should look stunning Wink

The trick is to install it before you let them put it under the tree Cheesy

Bring it on.

As an Australian who loves travelling the UK, I want to be able to land 'out' at small airfields as well as operate from the Xtreme airports.

The elimination of the cliffed effect in Gen X will transform the experience.

I was wondering if there is a rough date for when fs2004 compatible scenery for scotland and NI will be available?

It is unlikely there will be FS2004. I cant see the FSX VFR Arifields Scotland being ready until 2009, so it will be for the new sim after FSX and FSX, by then most of us would have moved on from FS2004 and PCs would be very much faster. I cant be definite but that is my prediction
