AES is a FS9 product by Aerosoft that creates animated jetways, a service fleet(pops up), marshaller, docking and follow me car.

Some users have asked to make Gary's Xtreme range compatible with this "addon to an addon"

Gary has looked into the program and what it would take to implement it into a product like Gatwick Xtreme or Heathrow. It would require a very large change to almost everything, its not just the air jetties, but also the docking system, clutter around the parking bay, and the service fleet. Almost every file would need massive alterations, and the compiler Gary uses to do it.(he doesnt use Gmax, Gary uses Anim8or and his own compiler). Gary simply doesnt have the time to do all this, it would effectively be a new product just to make it compatible with AES. My current animation and interactive parts have to stay for those who dont have AES (most of us)

If Gary  just made one or two airports then fine, or if he had a team of people helping then yes he would take the time out to make an AES version of Gatwick or Heathrow.

But with a list of 30 UKairports to make, 5 mass GA products to make, Gary has to prioritise his work and feels its more  important to get on with new airports. AES has to wait

Gary knows this may disappoint AES users, but he has to look at the bigger picture and majority of users just want Gary to get on with more airports and stop getting side lined into other work. So far Gary has spent more time this year getting side tracked than making airports, this is not good, tough chosses have to be made, he regually has to turn down user requests weekly  and has to stay focused on the primary goal.

Gary is not going to start debating the 'sales' angle either, more airports is better than spending all my time on one or two.

Gary is also looking at the future, he admits his current system is not as accurate as the AES FS9 docking system. But he will continue to improve and he is already well into a true FSX docking system and a DLL to 'setup' the docking parameters. Gary's system may end up being far better than AES as I dont like some aspect of AES, their service fleet just pops up next the aircraft, my version actually drives in from a far.

There docking system is generic, his are specific to the airport,  and in future will be specific to EACH stand (most stands vary) , oh and we dont have a VW van in the UK as a "follow me"

Gary also questions the wisdom of depending on someone else addon to complete the airport. What happens if AES stops selling?, what happens when a new Sim is released and AES is not updated?.

If production improves, Gary will then spend some time to make a AES version of Heathrow or Gatwick, but it could never be all the airports, it would take far too long.
