I have to accept that trying to make all UK Airports in high detail is just physically not possible for one person to do. The desire is there, but the time is not.

So I know this will disappoint some users, but I have decided not to make anymore Xtreme airports after Belfast Int.  You yourself surely have noticed the constant pushing back of dates.  It's just not working.

I want to send a clear message out to other developers, that I will only be making these airports in high detail.

Heathrow
Gatwick
Manchester
Belfast Int
Birmingham
Edinburgh
Glasgow
Bristol
Stansted

Please do not ask to change this list. I want more developers to step in with the others airport. I know Luton is being made by another developer and this list will not change.

In addition to those I will make and maintain VFR Airfields Vol1-3.  There will not be a Scotland or Ireland.

If I cant maintain something, Id rather not start in the first place. Again this is clear message to others, that I will not compete  for Scotland and Ireland (apart from those listed Xtreme airports).

Hi Gary,

Thanks for explaining why Luton is off the list. Please could you hint as to which developer is making it?

Aarrgh! WOT.. no Exeter? (Just Kidding)

Gary, I haven't posted before but just wanted to say I'm a huge fan of your work. I have a few  1-8s and have pre ordered VFR Airfields 1. (cant wait  Grin) For what its worth, I think you're right to limit future products. It can drive you nuts doing too much! Have a well deserved break Wink

Thanks for your dedication which continues to make our flying (and landing) a significantly enhanced experience.

Kindest Regards,

Dave.

That's bad news for us, but you are doing the right thing.  Keep focussed.

Gary

I understand your decision not to carry on it must have been frustrating to have to redo all those airports time and time again losing valuable time on other projects. I would like to thank you for you time and effort in producing these masterpieces and look forward to the last 4 in the series.

Many thanks

Gary

Regarding Belfast International, im now working there as a dispatcher, and once i get my staff pass in a couple of weeks I'll have more pics available. I'll try and take them soon, whilst the weather is reasonably good.

On another note, there are some groups making non commercial airport sceneries of other airports. I believe a BMI pilot is making a very good looking Belfast City airport, I'll find out if it will be released on the likes of Avsim

I think there is an error - can you spot it, i've given you a clue!!!!

On another note, shame you have shortened the list, i wil try and do an Exeter myself!!

Yes. You're correct in what you're implying. However, the list provided are the only airports that Gary will make in high detail in the future too.

The list is circular. I think some have missed the point. Making scenery is a never ending job. In other words, when Belfast is out, I go though the same list all over again to maintain the changes and improvements to those airports.  If the list was larger ,I would not have the time to maintain and update it, so it best to stick to a size that is manageable.

All ready there have been changes to Bristiol, Glasgow, Edinburgh and Gatwick that users have asked for, but they will have to wait until Circle 2.
