The AVAST Antivirus software has started to report a Virus in all software created with "RapidQ".

This effects all of my installers and all of my programs!

It does make me quite annoyed at these virus companies as they dont not taking enough care with the definition files.  Its happen in the past with AVG and NOD32, both were latter fixed

THERE IS NO VIRUS!

This software has been in use for 14 years, by thousands of people. Eventually I'm sure this virus definition will be fixed, but until it is,you have disable this virus checker if you want to run the setups and installers.

Hi Gary,
I realise your frustration but don't get too upset with the AV Software companies. Mostly they do a great job of keeping us virus free and I think it is better if they overkill sometimes. The real villains are those perverted souls who get their kicks by attempting to infect our machines.
As it happens I have all of your software and use Avast but have not experienced the problem, yet.
Thanks to your heads up I will now be prepared if i get the virus warning.

Rod.

Been fixed today with VPS 080626-1  update, infact it was an AVAST update made at 6pm yesterday, thats just 8hours after I had emailed them, thats good service, must have been a serious bug for them to fix it so quickly.

Its  back

Hear we go again, the false virus definition is again doing the rounds with the anit-virus companies, why cant they remove this definition is not clear, but every 6 months it pops up and a few days latter they fix it.

All we can do is wait for the next anti virus update, There is NO virus is these setups at all, if you cant install until this is fixed, then turn off the antivirus software,

I said it was every six months, and that's holding true.  I think it has now been fixed.

Also out of date AVG  version are doing it. I know the latest doesn't becuase I useAVG on all of my PCs

6 months on and the false virus definition is back, you can set your calender by the frequency of its return.

If you have it. wait 48hours and then update your anti-virus software, the companies do eventually correct the false definition.

If you want it fixed straight away, and you use free anti virus software then just switch from AVG to AVAST or the other way around.
