I have downloaded the free UK airports and not that two of the 4 have scenery and texture folders / files ( Stanstead and Glasgow)

To install these do I simply cut / paste the files into the FSX Add on scenery " scenery" and "texture" folders

The others have exc files so even for a novice like me these should'nt be a problem

Many thanks

The readme/ instruction file should be read for installation.

Forgive me for perhaps being dim but the installation file states

Installation:
-------------------------

1) Start FSX (DO NOT SELECT ANY FLIGHT)

2) Click "Settings"

3) Click "Scenery Library"

4) Click "Add Area"

Then Browse and give it the folder you install to,for example:

   "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator x\UK2000 scenery\UK2000 Stansted FREE"

5) Then click OK

6) Goto Stansted Airport

But this does not answer what  I do with the files that are inside the "scenery" and "texture" folders provided with the download

As I explained for Stansted and Glasgow the download did not included executable files only two folders titled "scenery" and "texture" with various files in each

With other add ons I have had to paste these first into FSX before following the procedure you have outlined in your installation file

Take offs are optional. Landings are mandatory.

well as long as you have both the scenery and texture folders unzipped then go to the add scenery area and direct it to your unzipped\uk2000 and then you should be good to go! Follow the directions set out in the readme but Like I said, change the path to where you unzipped your files to.

Hope this helps.

Kind regards,

Gareth
