Free Glasgow

Hi all. I have running UK Scenery Parts 1-5 and am eagerly awaiting EGAA this spring. I have been trying to install Free Glasgow but pardon me for getting confused by -

   Then Browse and give it the folder you install to,for example:

   "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator 9\UK2000 scenery\UK2000 Glasgow FREE"

Give it what- the whole Glasgow folder? I have tried that and have seen a scenery rebuilding database message but no new  Glasgow scenery -or do I have to separate the scenery and texture folders from within the main Glasgow folder. Sorry for being stupid about this.

Heya Billy and welcome to the forum.

First of you will need to extract the zip to a destinaton of your choice. For example:

C:\Users\Gareth Smart\Documents\unzipped\egpffreefsx

Then load up your Flight Sim (in this example I am using FS2004) and go to settings, scenery library (see shot one)

Then click on add area and browse to the folder you unzipped the scenery to (shot two)

When you have found the unzipped the version relavent for your sim then double click on it (shot 3)

Then you should see it looking like the pic in shot 4.

Then single click on that area and then Click ok. (Shot 5)

Then after clicking OK there will be a warning at the bottom telling you to restart Flight Sim. (IN FSX it will re-build the library straight away (shot 6))

Close Flight Simulator and restart it again. It will rebuild the library straight away (shot 7)

After Flight Simulator has done it's thing, you can then create a flight in Glasgow and enjoy Glasgow Free (shot 8)
