Hi all

I've just installed Edinburgh but am having issues.  There are broken black polygons hovering here and there.  I tried to upload a screenie, but at 3mb the forum said no  Smiley  Anyhow, I've not had any graphical problems 'til now so don't believe it to be a driver issue.  I've got UTX running, but tried disabling the UTX airports to no avail.  I followed the recommended setup guidelines, when installing.  Any ideas, anyone?

Cheers in anticipation, Andy

Try saving your image as a .JPEG and not a .BMP

Hang about, I've just cropped it right down.  Looks a bit crap, now though but serves it's purpose.....

It is a dirver/ card/DX problem, I don't program polygons going up into the air, so it the display engine getting confused, rather than a 'real' polygons.   I'ts happened  on other airports and addons from a few users(about 3-4 reports). I've also seen  crazy looking polygons for a brief second or so when I go to any complex airport, it then settles down and displays correctly. This is most commen with FSX, very rare in FS9.

Hi Gary

Since downloading the free Edinburgh, I've just gone and purchased your VFR Airfields.  It actually arrived before the VFR scenery for the same area.  I'm still awaiting that.  But, I'm impatient, so I loaded it up anyway.  First airfield that I tried was Bristol, and, "Hey Presto", more black polygons.  I was mightily miffed..... Sad

Anyhow, upon checking back to these forums and seeing that you had replied, I decided to take your advise and update my g/c drivers.  Re-ran Edinburgh (and Bristol), and result!!   Grin   Grin  Black poly(gone) now.  I'm a happy beaver.  And am also well pleased with the VFR Airfields pack.  Fantastic value for money.

So, apologies all round, and I guess I'll update my drivers BEFORE seeking assistance in future. I'm such a dipstick at times  Embarrassed

All the best, Andy
