This update is now due June-July, it's hard to say exactly as this is 'fill in' job,  most time is spent on VFR3/Gatwick

If you have the a look at the March NATS chart, you will see there has been a massive amount of change to all the taxiways on the east side. This does require a big change to the scenery. Taxiways, signs, base image and AFCADS will all need changing.   I will be 'demolishing' bits of T1 and T2 to reflect the construction work.

In this  new version the options to keep open  parts of T1, the crashed BA 777 and  the demolished BA hanger will now be removed from the product. Because of this the current V1 of Heathrow Xtreme will be keeped as a " Historical version".  So users can choose to use the latest or the old version of Heathrow Xtreme.

This new version will be a free upgrade to existing users. In addition like Manchester a joint cut down 'FREE' Heathrow version will be released at the same time. This will hopefully keep VATSIM  flyers happy, as there is no reason to use default scenery even if you cant afford the Full Xtreme version, this will keep all Aircraft  using the same taxiways system.

Here are some screenshot of the new Version2. Cant say yet when it will be released, but will be during the summer months.

As you know Heathrow is one big construction site, it is simple not possible to model it in any accurate way. The IAP changed 4 times while I was working on it (one change went backwards), taxiways are being tug up,close off and made every week. So please dont expect it to be spot on, its a snap shot, but its certainly more up to date then version1

Heathrow T5C may be due to open shortly, but I cant find photos on it, so I have no choose but to reuse the model of T5B. I also dont know the Jetway situation of 5C, I beleave the plans for T5C were cutback due running out of money. So for now this is interim rendition of 5C. Similar story with Heathrow East, in still very early construction work, but there is some structions here and I have made an interim version of this new pier.

So the changes are
1) Converted to new 'system7' (took the most time). This includes purpose made lighting
2) New extension to front side of T4
3) New departure 'pod' at the front of T4
4) New taxiway layout for eastern section
5) Parking grid change in the BA Maintenance area
6) Old BA hanger, crashed 777, open up 'K' stands removed as options
7) Parts of T2 demolished and now closed off
8  Parts of T1 demolished and now closed off
9) New stands for Heathrow East
10) New pier for Heathrow East
11) New buidlings/corrections to T5 areas
12) T5c added (copy of T5b for now)
13) T5c stands and taxiway added
14) Hundreds of minor corrections, edge/line smothing ect ect

Will there be any framerate improvements with this System 7 version, Gary?

No sorry, I've actually added far more ground scenery(smother curves), so its not going to get faster, maybe 10% lower in places. Heathrow V1 was always maximized to the best FPS, but this was done manually and it was very difficult to do manually. My System7 makes this an automatic process. System7 was created from my experience with Heathrow V1.

Most users will not notice any difference in FPS.

I have just googled T5C and have come up with a couple of websites that might help with the development of LHR. It looks like T5C will be a copy of T5B.

Looking Great Gary,
Flying would not be the same without your airports.

Excellent!! Will you be able to model the triple jet bridges cos that would be so cool with the Project Airbus A380 and AES!!!  Grin

Surely AES replaces the Jetways mark?, so it does not matter what I do.  I  can only have one active FSX Jetway that how FSX works, the others will be fixed

Oh yes sorry you're right Gary. I wonder if Oliver can do them as he did for the Aerosoft Mega Airport Frankfurt. Will you be giving him the new files for AES once they are completed?
