Hi,

I am using FS2004 and want to change the flaps setting in my aircraft.cfg, however, I do not know which part of the [flaps.0] and [flaps.1] I need to change. I would appreciate it if somebody could tell me which bits I need to change from the following, and explain to me what the different flaps sections mean and what happens if I change them. I wish to change the degrees which the flaps extend by to 1 degree, 2 degrees, 5 degrees, 10 degrees, etc etc etc.

Here are the flaps sections from my aircraft.cfg.

[Flaps.0]
type=1
span-outboard=0.8
extending-time=14
flaps-position.0=0.0
flaps-position.1=5.0
flaps-position.2=10.0
flaps-position.3=15.0
flaps-position.4=20.0
flaps-position.5=35.0
damaging-speed=250.0
blowout-speed=300.0
lift_scalar=0.85
drag_scalar=0.8
pitch_scalar=1.1
system_type=1  //Hydraulic

[Flaps.1]
type=2
span-outboard=0.8
extending-time=4
flaps-position.0=0
flaps-position.1=18
flaps-position.2=27
flaps-position.3=27
flaps-position.4=27
flaps-position.5=27
damaging-speed=250.0
blowout-speed=300.0
lift_scalar=0.4
drag_scalar=0.3
pitch_scalar=1.2
system_type=1  //Hyrdaulic

Any help is appreciated.  Smiley
I get confused on the [flaps.1] flaps postion entries, as they are all 27...

Best Regards,

flaps.0 are the trailing edge flaps, flaps.1 are the leading edge flaps (slats).

Look in AircraftContainerSDKFS2004.doc in the Fs9 SDK for an explanation.

Thanks for the information George. I will have a look at that after my current flight has finished and I can install the SDK stuff onto my Flight Sim PC.
