Hi,

I am very very pleased and impressed with Heathrow V2. But I am afraid tto say that I am not all that impressed but the lighting at night. Up close the lights are stunning. But when landing at night, you wouldnt know that a runway is there until about 2/3 miles out. Apart from the Approach lights that are visible. I have read various other comments about this but I dont see why it cant be sorted. I also feel that the buildings are very dark. To me, the brightness of the airport is less realistic that V1.

I know that things can't be exactly like the real world. I know there are limitations. But Have a look at this video, skip to about 3/4 mins and watch it in: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jY2dcKvKWmI. Look how bright the terminal buildings are. And the genarl airport atmosphere is bright. Anyway to improve it Gary?? Please note that this is constuctive critisism. If I had to review your product it would prob still get 10/10, maybe 9. I would just love it if the lights could be more realistic.

Lighting is not a issue for me, it looks just fine and is why I personally never replied. Your opinion is that it's too dark and approach lights and not bright enough. To me the airport is too light and the approuch lights are ok, the lights point could be better, but I have no method to improve it due to restrictive graphics engine and hundred of bugs in that engine (and FPS consideration). Most texture brightness issues are down to monitor settings, as I said to me it looks bright, and I personally hate over bright aprons. So the only help I can give you is adjust your brightness settings either by the monitor or graphics card settings.

If you dont like the scenery then your welcome to go back to default. Please remember all our airports have a free demo so no one has to buy the product then find out they dont like it. It all there free to try out first

Hi Gary, Thanks for the reply. I love the scenery, I think it is fantastic. And there is no way I would ever go back. It is superb, there is no doubting that. But the fact that at night time and even at 5 miles out, you have to strain to see the runway. And, I'm afraid, this is very unrealistic. The PAPI's are visible, as are the APP lights. But you cant see the runway. It's such a shame, because once very close and on the ground, the lights are simply stunning. V1 the runway was lit much better at distance but the lights weren't as realistic up close. I appreciate there is only so much a graphics can do.

Thanks Gary
