Hi All,

I have the Heathrow Xtreme V2 for FS9. I fly for BA Virtual and so am based on the Airbus Fleet at LHR! Smiley

When departing heathrow it's absolutely fine the scenery is great, however when coming back to heathrow, this happens: (Happens in the daytime too...) Aes Still works with this just missing a few things, and its not just T5, its the whole airport :/

Any suggestions to what maybe causing this :/

Thanks,

Tristan

Unlikely, you may have to make a separate installation of a fresh FS9 and test it on that. I do know FS9 does have memory bugs that can be triggered by certainly combination of addons (including aircraft and Dll modules) and which leads to some scenery not being display, very hard  to track it down. I've had a few cases of this happening at Gatwick, Glasgow and Stansted always it FS9, often it fixed by reinstalling.

It can also be cause by errors in the scenery database file in which FS9 decides to exclude scenery

If using FS9, what is your autogen density set at?  I had the very same issue because I had my autogen density set at none to sparse.  Once I changed it back to very dense and everything came back.

This change worked for me.  I hope this helps.

Hi Mike

By keeping the autogen on dense does this toatally fix the problem or is it just a case of refreshing the autogen while in use to fix the problem when noticed i.e when you leave EGLL and return the issue still occurs, In my case I get this at both EGLL and EGKK and found that by turning something like scenery casts shadows on or off it can refresh the scenery and make the missing objects re-appear.

I have a feeling Gary has hit the nail on the head with a memory issue. But you have given me something to try by making the autogen max. hope it works.

FAO Gary, I know your rather busy doing the next batch of sceneries on the list but is the EGLL update still planned for this year, including the fix for the light issues on T1, T4 bricked aprons whereby the parking lines dissapear.

Thanks

I only had this same problem at EGLL.  At EGKK, when I had my autogen density set at none to sparse, I would lose my PAPI and some of my surrounding scenery buildings.  The autogen density impacts a lot more than you think.  I was just trying to save a few FPS.

I hope this helps,

Mike just tried your Autogen to max setting and after doing a circuit so that the EGLL scenery re-loaded again during the flight and the objects still disappeared. It certainly looks like a memory problem.

All I do is refresh the scenery by turning building shadows on and off when exiting the runway. Very annoying but the quickest temporary solution I have found.

Thanks

James,

Sorry to hear that.  I know how frustrating it can be to troubleshoot FS9 and your computer to figure out what's gone wrong.

Good luck!
