Thanks Norman. Did a clean install and all working well.  Nice to have a clear out of old sceneries and files sometimes Smiley

All gates work using Ctrl+J.  No AES installed, using GSX now, although the pushback route at Gate 421 goes left and right all over the place rather than a nice single turn that used to happen at the same gate in EGLL V1.

Yes, that is a bit of a nuisance at the moment but they are going to correct that. I make a right turn out of the stand at the moment, then turn around to depart.

Norman,
Any update on this? I've just moved to FSX, installed HEathrow Xtreme V2 latest version (2.15) and latest GSX.
All the gates in the Victor alley appear to work - although the track/path for 422,423 and 424 are rather odd and ugly, but 421 pushes me out facing the blast fence no matter what options I select.

Because of its position at 421 there is no instruction in the GSX ini to push back, GSX still doesn't support a PB when there is an obstruction. You need to use Shift/P for a straight push back.

Norman,
Thanks so much for the swift reply.

That's too bad, since I mostly fly Concorde and departure from 421 is the "norm" Wink

I suppose I can ask in the GSX forum if they can work on it, do I simply say "it is an obstructed gate, can you look at the pushback capabilities?"

Oddly, I did have AES installed before I got GSX and that was able to push me back from 421 just fine!

Hi Ian,

This has been raised in the FSDT forum on more than one occasion and the answer is always that it is something they are working on. It still remains that you can only give the command to turn left or right on pushback. Obviously from 421 left is impossible and right means turning 180 degs in a confined area. You can edit the ini file if you want to allow a right turn push back, but it isn't really an authentic move.

Norman,
One of my fellow members at BA Virtual said pushback worked OK for him at 421 albeit a rather curious path is taken, pushing out backwards on Victor first before reversing somewhat and ending up tail back towards 422. It seems I needed to get the latest AFCAD dated 6/3/2012, whihc now has improved things as he explained. It's a very weird pushback, but at least I end up facing the right direction, which is 99% of the solution Wink

I too use the Concorde departure gate 421 and it is very frustrating that GSX doesn't pushback correctly to the right.  When I previously used AES, it pushed back to the right just fine but I don't use AES anymore.  Obviously the real Concorde pushed back to the right.  I'm hoping this all gets sorted for the next version of Heathrow Wink

There are not yet UK2000 ini files for GSX at EGLL, so what you are getting is the normal pattern of GSX following the taxi lines. Until a set of ini files is made for EGLL then that problem will persist, and I don't expect to be making any until v3 is available. However, you can simply push back using shift/P/2 and your push back will be to the right.
