Gary........
It may be early to ask this but.........
looking in the manual, it only shows parking for FS 9.  I use FS X and I'm not able to get the jetways too operate.  I used your suggestions about default aircraft, changing Nav 1 frequency etc but that doesn't work.  Is it possible that there are no moving jetways at Cardiff Extreme?
Secondly, no ai aircraft show up.  I use UT 2 and that has not been a problem at any of your other airports that I have.  I checked my UT 2 files and everything seems OK there, so, I'm kind of stumped for an answer.
I might have done something wrong during the installation, but can't see what that might have been
Nothing major, but would sure like to find out what's wrong.  If anything.

Hi Jack, because they do not fit the default jetway action the jetways are static. UT2 works fine on my system, but you do need to find textures or schedules for almost all airlines that use Cardiff, the only one represented is Flybe. However, you have to bear in mind that there are very few traffic movements at Cradiff in real life, and so for much of the day there are no ai. Try loooking at 08:00 zulu, and switch on the daedalus textures.

Default Jetway animation code (Inuit into FSX) is to SWING the jetway, Cardiff Jetways dont swing, so FSX animation will not work here and have to stay fixed, this is similar to other fixed jetways used at Gatwick at Pier1

Gary & Norman.........
Thanks to both of you for a quick response.

Gary - I kind of figured it might be something like that.  So all is well there. I would expect that Oliver will include this airport in one of his future AES releases.

Norman - After I sent the comment, it occurred to me that it might have something to do with real life lack of traffic at the airport. I rechecked UT 2 for Cardiff and found some airlines that don't seem to be in UT 2. So I suppose that and specific time periods account for a lack of AI.

Yes, Jack. However, you can find on either AVSIM or Flightsim schedules and liveries for all the airlines that use Cardiff, then add them with UT power pack.

Norman.........
Good thought.  I'll give it a shot although I've never tried that before.  Wish me luck.

Norm............
Looks pretty grim.  I only found two airlines operating in/out of Cardiff.  Flybe with Dash 8-400 and Eastern Airways with Jetstream 41.
Pretty quiet place it looks like.

Hi Jack,

Not sure if you've only found those 2 airlines because thats all UT2 offers, but Aer Arran (or Aer Lingus Regional) also operate into Cardiff, along with KLM Cityhopper, Helvetic Airways, Thomas Cook, Thomson and maybe another operator (I can't remember!).

Balkan Holidays and Air Malta operate seasonal charter flights, and apparently Monarch will be too by the end of this month. It also seems that Atlantic Airlines have cargo flights from Cardiff, although I don't know which aircraft they use. I notice that there is no mention of BMI Baby, even though I am seeing them on my PC. I assume that they must have stopped operating from Cardiff some time after Summer 2009 (the date of my BMI Baby flightplans).
