Norman - Is there any way of stopping aircraft parking at BAMC? there are no actual stands on the BAMC Apron as its a maintenance area for BA aircraft only (park and tug into hangar) so not sure why any should be listed there. Currently getting BMI Baby parked there. All other stands seem pretty spot on. (and yes I know WW no longer fly from CWL but hey, i like having the baby around )

If you have a better one let me have it and i will put it on the AFCAd page.
As far as the stands on the maintenance apron are concerned, they are there to give some overflow parking, but they are easlily removed with ADE if you don't wantt hem.

Norman, just to be a pain CWL has redisgnated Stand 7 as a heavy stand after an upgrade and its being used by Monarch's A330 as well as Thomson 757's. Just something for a future update.

Hi Nick,
I can easily do an upgrade of the AFD file to accomodate a A330 with MON and TOM there, but stand 7 is one of Gary's active stands, so I cannot do anything about the active service fleet.

I have just uploaded new AFD files for Cardiff with stand seven now able to accomodate the A330. I have also included in th FSX zip a set of ini files for using GSX at Cardif, please make sure that you read the readme. Unfortunately GSX doesn't work too well at Cardiff, due to the unusual layout of the gates, but the ini files do keep the GSX elements away from the airport scenery, in the main. In fact you can have a very entertaining few minutes watching the push back of an A330 from gate seven.
The files are available from the UK2000 web site page, as usual.

Hi I'm sorry if this is a completely noob post but I'm no really sure when/how to access the afcad files; I'm using Cardiff Extreme which is great, but have the same problem as above, ie that random commercial flights use the maintenance apron and double park over the static aircraft. Am I right in assuming that if I download the AFCAD from here and replace the one in FSX that this will by and large solve the problem?
Taking this one step further, is the same the case for AFCAD files for other extreme airports I own, like Heathrow, Glasgow, Manchester?
Are there clear readme instructions in each download?
Sorry if this is pretty basic and if it's covered elsewhere. I've tried to glean the answers by trawling other posts but end up more confusd than ever!

Hi Jerry,
You can download the latest files by going to the UK2000 web site and selecting the tab for the AFCAD page. Now, as far as the double parking is concerned then it sounds as though you have the wrong AFCAD installed, but I don't know how you did it, as the option app sets the correct file for whichever preference you slect, i.e. static aircraft or no static aircraft. Anyway, if you want to have the static aircraft then you must have the file that ends in GEN in your scenery folder. If, on the other hand, you want to have designated gates for your airport then you must use the xTRM file, you cannot have static aircraft with designated parking. This applies to all UK2000 airports.
When you do download new files place both the xTRM and GEN file into your option folder. Delete the one that is in your scenery folder and replace it with the one with the same ending from you option folder. The option app should then work as it should.
