Hi Gary,

I just did some flights to EGLC with the QW Avro, and noticed there are no parking options after landing (ATC does not give parking options), although there are some spots available. I think it has to do with the radius of the parking spots?

Further more I noticed:
- a KLM. KLC entry. KLM Cityhopper uses KLC, but is not flying to EGLC?
- AZA/AZAX, probably codes for Alitalia Cityliner. But they are using CYL officially
- RAE is not using EGLC anymore
- No code for SAY (Suckling Airways)

Hi Erik,

At the time of making the file KLM Cityhopper had a flight into City, as did RAE, but . You are correct in assuming that AZA is Alitalia Cityliner and I can add their new code. Suckling no longer operate as such, they are now on charter as Cityjet and operate in collaboration with Air France (code CFE). There are a number of codes that used to operate from City, including Scot Airways (now part of Loganair, as Suckling is), but you cannot include all the now defunct codes as the parking is very limited.

As far as your Qulaity Wings Avro is concerned, check the wing span in the aircraft.cfg file, as it should fit the spots at EGLC. You could also check that it has the line atc_parking_type=Gate, Ramp because, in order to get turn around parking, the spots at City are not gates.

I'll take a look at current codes and then post an update.

According to the LCY web site KLC operate a flight every day, and Alitalia is listed and not Alitalia Cityliner. On the Aer Arran website they still list LCY as a destination, but they do not appear on the LCY website.

However, web sites can be notoriously out of date, although the LCY one is advertising entry to the 2012 olympics. So to what degree can you give accurate information about users?

Thanks for the feedback Norman. I did a quick check-up at Wikipedia (also not the most reliable source I understand now). According to the parking spot sizes, I altered them and I also see some extra GA aircraft now, (changed it to appr. 70 ft.).
- According to the KLM web site only flights to LCY are operated by an Avro (which must be CityJet)

Could be. One of the problems with researching airport users is code sharing - you don't know which airline is actually flying the route. AFAIK cityjet is Air France, with Avros and Sucking with Dorniers, but that isn't to say that KLM are not also partners.

The wingspan of the Avro is 26.21M, so you need a parking spot of 13.1M.  All the parking spots on the apron at EGLC are bigger than that, so you wouldn't need to alter any of them.
