HI Gary

Firstly, let me say how fantastic Version 2 is. I can't wait till my home area in the midlands receives the same treatment.

I have recently been flying the A2A Spitfire into Manston EGMH. On approach, when I contact ATC, I get the instruction to land on runway 36 water Huh

When I actually land on runway 28, the handover to ground for taxi and parking is normal.

The symbol shown on Plan-G is a blue anchor also suggesting water.

Any ideas?

Regards

Kelvin

I am afraid that there must be something wrong on your system. I can assure that the runway at Manston is Asphalt. Plan-G, of course, gets its data from your FSX system  and so something there is causing EGMH to show as a water runway. There is no water runway shown on my Plan-G.

Sadly, it seems that EGMH Manston will be declared Closed by the end of this month Sad

I am also getting this 'Runway 18 Water' at Manston Airport.

Was there ever a solution to this?

Without UK2000 airfields it's a normal airfield either with ORBX EU England on or off.

I recall that this is something that happens when there is an orphaned ILS in the AFD file. The same thing happens at EGHQ Newquay on my system, and it is very annoying!

So how do I go about getting the orphaned ILS adopted? Grin

Seriously, is this something someone with limited knowledge can fix? If not it's not a big deal...just, as you say, a bit annoying. Especially as I would LIKE a few seaplane bases in the UK.

I was under the impression that an orphaned ILS could not be removed. Apparently, any orphaned ILS is supposed to be far enough away that it does not affect normal runway operations at an airport, but quite clearly this is not entirely accurate Undecided
